Life and the Universe

When we went to the Moon, the Apollo program showed us that if humanity really wanted to achieve something significant, they can do it, for this achievement was proof that we can build not only the technological structures, but the social structures as well.

When we ventured forth, the Moon landing gave us a global appreciation of our place in the Universe, and has changed our perception of worlds beyond the beyond, of the survival of humanity, and who we are in the Cosmos.

leaving this Planet will be a culturally significant event in the history of our species. For quite a long time there has been a vision that space is part of our future. Considering the population growth and the accompaning expoitation of finite resources, the venture into space to find minerals and energy is the only optimatic means to meet the future needs of humans on Earth. Without this development we may see the end of our civilization this century. The Planet has to deverse iself, for it is like a colony that has grown to large.

If humanity is to survive as a thriving species it has to go into space. If we want to remain creative, prosperous and adventurous, human expansion beyond our planet is the only optimistic option. Humanity is just a part of a larger evolutionary picture. It is the idea that Earth might have reached the point where it needs to spread life throughout the Cosmos in order to ensure the survival of life as we know it.

Life is too fragile to stay in one place forever. Our real role in the evolutionary scheme of life on Earth is to help plant the seeds of life somewhere else.

The road to the stars

During the next decade, new spacecraft will be developed that will take Astronauts and supplies to the International Space Station and on to the Moon to lay the groundwork for our first permanent space colony, Aurora.

From this platform scientists will be able to study the effects that radiation will have on Astronauts in deep space, refine the biological elements associated with space travel deep into the void, and prepare for the long awaited journey  - the transport of humans to the Planet Mars.

The first spacecraft to make this journey will be the unmanned return transport vehcle which will land at a pre determined location and use elements of  the Martian atmosphere to replentish it hydrogen engines ready for the return trip to Earth.

Then will come the unmanned  habitat module, which will inflate on touchdown and settle in position, waiting for the first Martians to arrive.

They will leave the International Space Station in another transport vehicle, identical to the one already on Mars and after landing, this vehicle in turn will replentish it's hydrogen supplies. After settling in and making further Studies of atmospheric pressures and densities, searching for water and other life support activities, the Martains will return to the Space station and from there to Earth.

Subsequent visits will see the gradual build up of accommodation facilities of a more permanent nature and work will begin in warming the Martian atmosphere that will, after one hundred years, melt the ice caps, and water will flow once more over the Martian landscape. Techniques in afforrestation already refined on earth will quickly be deployed to develop a sustainable atmosphere.

Then we will see beautiful, ultra modern hyper cities cover the Martian land scape. A place of peace and serenity.  A place where evil no longer exists. A place where  people will band together in determination to protect their new environment from poverty and hate, and a place from where mankind will develop the technology and cybertonics that will take guide them along the path to the ultimate Journey to where the whispers of the Cosmos are calling us and where ancient civilizations abound  -

Children of the Universe

Children of the Universe

You are a child of the Universe, no less than the trees and the stars. You have a right to be here, and whatever your goals and aspirations you must find peace deep within your soul, and walk hand in hand with those of all cosmic shades in friendship and understanding. And when you leave this Earth you will know that you have played your part, and because of your love and inspiration, the Universe will continue to expand as it should. And you will be contented in the living of this life, for with all its sham, grudgery and broken dreams, your world is still  -

                                             A beautiful place
